Solar Module
A solar module is simply a conglomeration of connected solar cells, which collect energy from the sun. Each solar cell is electronically connected to create these modules, which are then blended into the panel.
The process by which solar cells work is described elsewhere in this site. From there, each cell is electrically connected into these modules, which in turn form the solar panel. The panel is connected to an inverter and a battery for storage of the power.
Solar modules are susceptible to several environmental effects, and require protection from the elements. This is why solar panels are usually installed with a glass covering. This allows the panels to continue absorbing the sun’s rays without risking being damaged by rain.
